Response to Climate Change

The Group has another target for GHG emission, specifically focusing on one of our downstream companies, Southern PC Steel Sdn. Bhd. (SPC). The target, which was set in FY2023, aims to reduce SPC’s Scope 1 emissions intensity by 30% from FY2022 to FY2025.

The Group has also made a breakthrough in its GHG emissions reporting. We have successfully calculated one category of Scope 3 emissions, which is Employee Commuting. The Group’s continuous efforts in improving its GHG reporting is in alignment with the government's policy such as the New Industrial Master Plan (NIMP) 2030.
